Detention Officers                   Bonding Procedures

The Seminole County Jail houses inmates for Seminole County Sheriff's Office , Donalsonville Police Department, as well as other counties as needed.

 

Each inmate is allowed to receive a package of personal items within the first seventy-two (72) hours of incarceration.  After this time, ALL items must be purchased from jail commissary.   

 

Permitted items are:        3    t- shirts

                                                                      3    pairs of socks 

                                                                      3    pairs underware / panties 

                                                                      3    wireless bras

 

All items MUST be white, new, and in the original packaging. 

 

 

 

VISITATION

All inmates may have one hour of visitation per week. 

Visitors traveling in excess of 150 miles may request an additional half-hour. 

 

To visit an inmate, you must have proof of identification.

MORNING (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM)               AFTERNOON (4:00 - 6:00 PM)

Any additioan vistitation time must be pre-approved.

VISITATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO OTHER JAIL ACTIVITIES.  VISITATION CAN BE TAKEN AWAY AT ANY GIVEN TIME BECAUSE IT IS A PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT!!!

 

 

 

INMATE FUNDS / COMMISSARY

 

Inmates will be allowed to purchase other items off the Commissary.  (Beverages, Candy, Snakes, Health Items, Stationary, and Clothing)

 

Each Inmate will receive a receipt for all money in their possession at the time of booking.  This money will be placed on the inmate’s account:

 

  • Money can be left at the front window, anytime seven (7) days a week.
  • Cash, or a money order made out to the inmate, will be accepted at the window.
  • No personal checks will be accepted.  No exceptions.
  • Money orders or cashiers checks, made out to the inmate, may be sent through the mail.
  • To be allowed to order from commissary, all inmate’s money must be received by 1:00 PM on Tuesday’s

 

 

Upon release from the jail, all funds credited to the inmates will be released, by check, to the inmate during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

 

INMATE MAIL

 

Stamps, envelopes, paper, and pens are available for purchase from the commissary.  Inmates are to send and receive as many letters as they chose.  However, there are certain regulations on the mail.

 

  • Both incoming and outgoing mail must include a return address.
  • All incoming mail must have: Inmate name, 208 Court St.  Donalsonville, GA  39845
  • All incoming and outgoing mail will be checked for contraband, illegal action, and disorder against the facility.
  • Incoming mail containing contraband, or items not allowed, will be returned to sender.
